A firing party, usually of seven, fires three volleys – a 21-gun salute! After the briefest of moments, a bugler sounds the 24 notes of Taps, America's most famous bugle call. Pauline Wolffer of Waynedale, is celebrating her 97th birthday. She was born May 10, 1915. Pauline and her late husband, Sylvester are the parents of five daughters, Barbara (Thomas) Muldoon, Pat (Arnold) Custard, Sharon (Larry – deceased) Ebnit, Agnes (Don) Davis, Marge (Steve) Longsworth. She has 24 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
