Chuck Surack of Fort Wayne, owner and founder of nationally renowned music business Sweetwater Sound, received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from the University of Saint Francis during the university's commencement exercises May 5.

Marcia Jones was born prematurely. Her mother, Martha Jones, provided around the clock care to the tiny infant, often staying up all night watching her sleep. Now, Marcia is giving back by spending as much time as possible with her mother, who now resides at Heritage Park.
"I just want to make sure she has everything she needs. She did it for me and I know she had a lot to deal with. Now I'm doing it for her."

The baseball series started Friday afternoon, April 27, 2012. The IPFW Mastodons were looking to stomp on the Bisons last weekend as they played North Dakota State.
It started out a bright sunny day on the IPFW field, but the Bisons quickly took charge by scoring 3 runs in the top of the first inning. IPFW stomped back scoring with 1 run.

Kingston Residence Assisted Living resident, Nancy Clark turned 100 years old on Thursday, April 26th. An open house celebrating this momentous occasion was held on Saturday, April 28th from 2:00 p.m. – 4 p.m. in her honor at Kingston, 7515 Winchester Road. Over 110 of her family, friends, fellow residents and staff attended.

Mrs. Fultz's Waynedale Elementary 5th Grade class visited Umber's Do It Best Hardware in Waynedale on March 14th. On this field trip the students were able to participate in mixing paint, rang out each other as customers on the cash register, learned how blank keys are cut, and how to effectively run a business.The visit concluded with drink, popcorn, and a special gift for each student!Umber's received many Thank You letters from the students and is looking forward to hiring many of these futur ...

Bishop Luers senior Brooke Ridley has decided to continue her education and basketball at the University of Saint Francis.
The 5-foot-11 forward made her decision public during an announcement ceremony in the Bishop Luers media center recently before many of her classmates, family and friends.
