Members and adult leadership of Explorer Post 2868 participated in the Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience (C.O.P.E.) at the Anthony Wayne Area Council Scout reservation over the weekend of October 19-21, 2001. On Sunday, October 28th the 7th and 8th grade girls from St. Therese Crusaders Volleyball Team captured the Blue League Championship. They were a #3 seed in the tournament with a 4-2 regular season record. They beat Benoit 15-2; 15-2 in the first game and then beat Queen of Angels 15-7; 15-7 to earn their berth in the championship game against Precious Blood. SCAN FUND RAISER AT INDIAN VILLAGE ELEMENTARYAt 11am on Thursday, November 1, 2001 Mr. Jim Megles' class at Indian Village Elementary School, 3835 Wenonah Lane, Waynedale donated a check for $162 to SCAN (Stop Child Abuse & Neglect). This money was raised during a bake sale held by the 4th graders. In fact, they also baked the majority of the goodies sold to hungry buyers.
