If you haven't heard about it, there is, along with the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. and the Traveling Wall that many have seen in our area, a "virtual" wall. You can visit at www.vvmf.org.
A movement is currently under way, to have a picture coincide with each name on that virtual wall.
In the state of Indiana there are 1530 names on "The Wall", but only 519 of those names have a picture to go with the name.

The University of Saint Francis (USF) Jesters will present "Letters to Hal," an original multi-media performance, on Saturday, March 3 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, March 4 at 3 p.m. at the university's North Campus Auditorium, 2702 Spring Street.

On Friday, January 13, 2012 Bishop Luers High School hosted its annual Winter Homecoming. During the varsity boys' game, the alumni staff recognized the boys' basketball teams, coaches and cheerleaders from the early years of Bishop Luers (1958-1962). Included in the group were members of the 1962 Allen County Championship team and their coach, Mr. John Gaughan.

The boys named him Duke. Like his namesake, John Wayne, Duke strutted around, ruled the roost, and didn't take any guff. Only difference was, our Duke was a rooster. We often hear questions regarding what the difference is between Dementia and Alzheimer's. Dementia is actually a group of symptoms that several diseases share. Alzheimer's is a specific disease. Imagine an umbrella. Months ago a friend handed me a little book entitled "Have A Little Faith," written by Mitch Albom. Honestly, it sat on my shelf for a long time gathering dust.
