INTRODUCING THE 2012 WAYNEDALE.COM VISITORS GUIDE

INTRODUCING THE 2012 WAYNEDALE.COM VISITORS GUIDEImagine your family and friends gathered around the dinner table on Thanksgiving, and one of your out of town guests ask, "Wait, what's Waynedale? I thought we were in Fort Wayne?" Normally, that and any follow up questions may be a hard question to answer. You could say "Uhhh, yeah it is in Fort Wayne, but people here like to think of it as Waynedale" or an even better answer might be, "Well, the community used to be named Waynedale, but it was annexed in 1957, I guess the name just stuck."

Talking about Waynedale is always hard to explain especially with so many misconceptions flying around. Recently, Waynedale.com and some local volunteers have stepped up to the task of compiling Waynedale into a neatly organized booklet that showcases everything our community has to offer and you can get your hands on it for free! On November 18th, the Waynedale.com Visitors Guide will be available to the public for pickup at newsstands, next to The Waynedale Newspaper in the Waynedale area; or viewable online at http://www.guide.waynedale.com with a virtual tour of the guide.

But the Waynedale.com Visitors Guide isn't just for visitors; it was created with residents in mind too! This project was developed to help everyone learn a little about Waynedale; where it is, how it began, and what type of events, businesses, and resources we have here. These topics help encourage positive discussion and branding of the area, to help the community neighborhoods and businesses grow in a positive way.

Waynedale.com and its volunteers have taken great strides to bring the best of Waynedale to you, conveniently compiled in the Visitors Guide, of which the printing was funded by local business sponsorships. You may pick up the Waynedale.com Visitors Guide for free at: Azar's Big Boy, Hall's Original Drive-In (South), Rich's Cafe, and Brooklyn Medical. The guide will be disbursed in limited quantities on fridays every two weeks from now until next November, and it is already a very sought after item, so be sure to hit one of the free pickup locations to get your hands on one.

This is a first for Waynedale, and is a really nice high quality keepsake. In return you can help us by: Discussing Waynedale with your friends, family, and neighbors; when you utilize the business listings, don't forget to mention you saw it in the guide; And please support our sponsors, this project was for you, please thank our sponsors when you use their coupons or contact them about their advertisement. In these ways, we can all help support the Waynedale area together, and look forward to a 2013 Waynedale.com Visitors Guide next November.

Waynedale.com is a free online community resource for the promotion of Waynedale improvement. The website is maintained by community members and funded by sponsors. Designed to be completely free, everyone is encouraged to: discuss Waynedale events, newspaper, improvements and more on our forum. Help customers find your business on the Waynedale Online Directory. Subscribe to our free community e-mailed newsletter. And purchase Waynedale apparel from our Waynedale Shop.
