WAYNE HS BB STAR SIGNS  WITH USF

Wayne High School's Kendan Lewis is staying close to home to play college basketball as the 6-2 guard recently signed with Saint Francis.

As a General, Kendan averaged 13.3 points per game during his senior year. He also averaged 4.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 2.6 steals a game. Lewis shot 52.4 percent from the floor.

In the sectionals Lewis put 21 points on the board against Jay County. His season-high was against Bishop Luers where he put up 24 points.

2ND ANNUAL “EASTER IN WAYNEDALE” DRAWS OVER 1,000 RESIDENTSEaster in Waynedale was held on Saturday, April 7th at the Waynedale Park Pavilion. The estimated attendance for the Easter egg hunt was just over 1,000 people and the largest community turnout for this event. THE JUBILEE CHOIR ENTERTAINS

The Mc Senior fellowship group from Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Waynedale was entertained the afternoon of March 15 by the Jubilee Choir and LSUS Singers at Lutheran South Unity School.

The Jubilee Choir , K-Grade 2, is directed by Natalie Reynolds. The Unity singers, Grades 6-8, is led by Doug Reynolds.

Lutheran South Unity School is supported by Mt. Calvary, Peace, Zion, and Bethlehem Lutheran churches. The school is located at 5401 S. Calhoun.
