Kingston Residence Assisted Living resident, Nancy Clark turned 100 years old on Thursday, April 26th. An open house celebrating this momentous occasion was held on Saturday, April 28th from 2:00 p.m. – 4 p.m. in her honor at Kingston, 7515 Winchester Road. Over 110 of her family, friends, fellow residents and staff attended.
Mayor Tom Henry declared through a proclamation that April 28th was deemed Nancy Ruth Clark day and she also received greetings from White House and Governor Mitch Daniels ...

Easter in Waynedale was held on Saturday, April 7th at the Waynedale Park Pavilion. The estimated attendance for the Easter egg hunt was just over 1,000 people and the largest community turnout for this event. Parcticipants were treated in addition to the hunt with candy, pictures with the Easter bunny and high fives from local business' mascots.
This one of several community events organized by The Waynedale Community Improvement Team and sponsored by various local businesses and residents.

Driving and delivering meals to clients in their homes in order to maintain a better quality of life, delivering hot nutritious meals to clients in their homes has been the driving goal of Homebound Meals since 1971. In order to do so at an affordable price, the people who deliver it have to be volunteers – especially in this economy.

The Waynedale Community Improvement Team presents the 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt for the Waynedale Community. "Easter in Waynedale" will be held at the Waynedale Park Pavilion on Saturday, April 7th at 10 a.m. A special area will be set aside for the younger children to hunt eggs. For the 15th year Deer Park Pub, began its St. Patrick's Day celebration Friday evening with the tappin' of a keg filled with traditional green lager beer, while the band Scratch N Sniff played a few Irish tunes.
The Fort Wayne tavern, located directly across from University of St. Francis on Leesburg Road, continued its festivities on Saturday morning serving green-glazed donuts and Irish coffee to all ye' lads n' lassies.
