By popular demand, Kingston Residence will host their 4th annual "Taste of Waynedale" on Tuesday, March 20th from 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., at their community located at 7515 Winchester Road. The proceeds from this event will go to Community Harvest Food Bank and Fort Wayne Trails - Waynedale Initiative.

The new term of the Fort Wayne Common Council is marked by the addition of three new faces. Actually, that is a bit of a mis-description as At-Large Councilman John Crawford rejoins the Council, new 5th District Councilman Geoff Paddock has had experience as a member of the Fort Wayne School Board, and new 2nd District Russ Jehl is someone I've known for quite some time and whose judgment I respect.

An average of 40 girls from the area have been enjoying a local basketball clinic. The girls involved range from 4th through 8th grade. Some of the skills that they attempted to learn included dribbling, shooting, and proper player-to-player coverage. And making friends!

Spring is just around the corner. What's the first clue you say? Why it's National Signing Day, the first Wednesday in February, the first day high school seniors can sign a National Letter of Intent indicating their choice of college to attend in the fall.
But not before 7am or it's considered invalid.
And that's exactly what James Knapke did on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 7:36am.
He sprung to life as he sent his signed National Letter of Intent via fax to Bowling Green State University.
