Puritan Ice Cream Company has been manufacturing good old-fashioned premium ice cream for decades. Back in 1922, located in Kendallville, Indiana, the ice cream was made using ice and salt-the old fashioned way-and delivered in a small truck packed with ice. All that ice was cut from Bixler Lake. At that time the company was owned by Ernest (Snakey) Wagner.
In order to compete, in 1924, ice cream businesses had to change over to mechanical refrigeration---that’s just what Puritan did.

Bishop Luers Knights bring home "The Victory Bell" during the Battle of the Bishops game on Friday, October 14, 2011 clinching a 26-15 win. Drew Morken, Andrew Spencer, Kendrick Mullen, Andrew Yaney, Matt Williamson, Tyler Fuller and Samantha Williamson celebrating the victory after the game.
The Victory Bell is currently being painted red and black and will be on display next week.

On Tuesday, September 29, 2011 a local writer who reflects on others' experiences, Frank Gray from the Journal Gazette in the Metro section, wrote an article titled, Sculpture a genuine head scratcher.
"But the piece is a mystery," he wrote.
Mr. Gray was correct when he wrote about the fact that the statue resembled those found on Easter Island.
This is the story that completes the mystery of the Moai statue found on Lower Huntington Road in Waynedale.

On Tuesday, October 4th Congressman Marlin Stutzman (IN-03) welcomed nearly eighty Hoosier veterans of World War II and the Korean War to the nation's capital."It is always an incredible honor to meet these heroes," said Stutzman. "These men and women risked everything for their families, their nation, and their friends. Our gratitude cannot fade. Each of these veterans paid a dear price for the freedoms that we enjoy today."
