I want to talk about the word focus. Let’s say you find yourself in a game where you can’t make anything. I know you have been there so anyway when this happens to you and when it’s your opponents turn at the table, I want you to pick something out across the poolroom and “focus” on the smallest detail on whatever it might be. And then find something else to focus on to where you’re seeing the finest details.
Now then, back to the game, it is your shot. First, find the spot on the object ball where you want to hit the ball to make it and then shoot. Next shot is the same way, “focus “on that spot and shoot. Bingo!—is this some great stuff, now you are back in the drivers seat again. So one more time, if you find yourself in this situation, practice “focusing” on the smallest of details far away (when it is not your shot, of course). Just, maybe, this tip will give you that edge you need to win that game. Practice, practice, practice.
