Joseph Riley King, 56, died Monday at home in Fort Wayne. A native of Fort Wayne, he was retired January 31, 2002 from the Allen County Sheriff Department after 31 years. He was a member of F.A.S.T.; charter member of Aboite Fire Department, a retired Master Sgt. of the U.S. Air Force then served 20 years with the Air National Guard.
He is survived by his wife Susan; two daughters, Jenifer King-Whittle of Fisher and Kelly King of Fort Wayne; two sons, Robert and Joshua both of Fort Wayne; parents, Donald & Dee King of Fort Wayne; a brother, David of Fort Wayne and two grandchildren. Services were held Thursday at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Hessen Cassel, Allen County. Memorials to St. Joseph Hessen Cassel School.
