Donna J. Westerfield, 72, died Tuesday, April 9, at here Fort Wayne Residence. A native of Canton, Illinois, she was a school secretary in Davenport, Iowa and Executive Secretary for Huber, Hunt & Nichols Construction in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a Methodist Church member and liked bowling, fishing, and watching old movies. Donna’s life revolved around her family and she enjoyed special times with her 6 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a brother William Oaks.
She is survived by her husband Gerald P. Westerfield, Fort Wayne; daughters Lane Utterback, Fort Wayne; Tracy Phelps, Phoenix, Arizona; Lauric Fisher, Kansas City, Missouri; Emily Blackman, Fort Wayne; sons Martin Westerfield, Greenwood, Indiana; Mitchell Westerfield, Fort Wayne; brother Darren Oaks, Canton, Illinois; sister Pauline Casey, Cheshire, Connecticut; 6 Grandchildren; and 1 Great Grandchild.
Services were held Thursday at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals with burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials to Visiting Nurses Service & Hospice, Community Harvest Food Bank, or Right Relations Inc.
