KOREAN WAR VETERANS ASSOCIATION Indiana Chapter One
The monthly meeting of the Korean War Veterans Association, Indiana Chapter One will be April 12th at the American Legion Post 82 on Harris Road. Breakfast begins at 7am with the meeting starting at 9am promptly. Friends and spouses are welcome also as are new member prospects.

Question: When should the flag be at half-staff?
Answer: (a)-The flag is half-staffed on Memorial Day, from sunrise until noon; it is displayed at full-staff from noon until sunset.
(b)-By order of the President of the United States, or by the Governor of any State, territory or possession. On occasion, heads of several departments and agencies of the U.S. Government may direct the flag to half-staff if deemed proper to do so.
Question: Should the flag be half-staffed on Veterans Day?
Answer: No, except it would be acceptable during a Veterans Day ceremony when Taps is being sounded, volleys fired, or wreaths are being laid.
AMERICAN LEGION POST 241
It’s that time of year again – Vote May 10th.
The Memorial Day Parade Committee will be starting to put the program together in the next few weeks. We/Post #241 will be the Host Post this year.
Don’t forget to pay your 2003 Membership dues. Only 2003 cards are being accepted at the bar.
COMING EVENTS – MAY- Scholarship information available for college and trade schools – Flag Burning (May 24th bratwurst after ceremony – Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 26, 2003.
Waynedale Daze will take place in Waynedale Park right after the parade.
April 12th is the Children’s Easter Party – one child per slip, please.
April 26th is the Membership Appreciation Party, bring a dish and join us for fun, food, and prizes.
