Glen E. Kumfer, 85, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at Bluffton Medical Center in Bluffton, Indiana. A native of Wells County, he worked for General Electric for 40 years. He retired in 1978. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He was a beloved Father and Grandfather. He will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his wife Mae G. Kumfer, brothers Richard, Wilbur, & James Kumfer, and by sisters Sylvia Evans & Virginia Croft.
He is survived by daughters Sharon R. Kiermaier, Churubusco; Carolyn M. Parker, Churubusco; Linda L. Bledsoe, New Haven; Connie S. Adams, Fort Wayne; sons Larry G. Kumfer, Tocsin, Indiana; Dennis E. Kumfer, Fort Wayne; brothers Robert Kumfer, Fort Wayne; Frank Kumfer, Louisiana; sister Wanda Hart, Churubusco; 18 Grandchildren, and 27 Great Grandchildren.
Services were held Thursday, May 29, 2003 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals with burial in Uniontown Cemetery, Yoder, Indiana. Memorials to Alzheimer’s Association.
